Link your Capsule account to Google Contacts to ensure your contacts are up-to-date and subscribe to your Capsule task calendar in Google Calendar so you never miss a deadline.

You can configure Capsule to open the compose window in Gmail when you click on an email address. To enable, click on your name in the top menu bar and select My Preferences Google Settings and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you have multiple Gmail accounts you can use the drop down menu to choose which account to use as default whenever you compose emails using a link from within Capsule.
Capsule integrates with Google Contacts to ensure your email addresses within Gmail are kept up-to-date. Once this integration is enabled, any contact additions or updates in Capsule will automatically be pushed to your Google Contacts.
To set this up, click on your name in the top menu bar and select My Preferences Google Settings
Click on the button to Get Started
Now you have the option to choose if you want to sync your Capsule contacts with either All Google Contacts or if you want to create a specific group in Google for your Capsule Contacts.
You will be redirected to a Google page where you have to allow access for Capsule to add to your Google Contacts. Before you click to Accept, make sure the email address in the top right hand corner matches the email account you want to enable the integration for. If not then you can just logout and login to the correct email account before you grant the access.
Once granted you’ll be redirected back to Capsule where you’ll see a message saying the contacts are in the process of being added to your Google Contacts.
Note that the Google Contact integration will only bring Capsule contacts into Google. It will not bring your Google contacts into Capsule.
There’s also a 3rd party service called PieSync that offers 2-way sync between Capsule and Google Contacts. If you’re interested in using that then you can check out PieSync right here: http://www.piesync.com/google/capsule/. If you’re using PieSync then you should disable the Google Contacts integration inside Capsule so the two don’t clash.
Subscribing to your Capsule tasks in your Google Calendar is a one-way feed so you need to continue to add, edit and complete tasks in Capsule.
Complete the following steps to enable this integration:
- In Capsule click on your name in the navigation bar and select My Preferences Calendar and Feeds
- Copy the link. It will look similar to this:
- In Google Calendar, use the arrow next to Other Calendars and click Add by URL
- Paste the URL you have copied from inside Capsule and click Add Calendar
Once you have completed these steps it may take several minutes for your tasks to appear in your Google Calendar. Please note that your Google Calendar may update only once every 24 hours.
If you are subscribing to your Capsule tasks in Google Calendar you can set up individual notifications for each task. You can then be notified via email a chosen number of minutes before the task is due.
To set this up there are a few simple steps. If you haven’t already subscribed to your Capsule tasks in Google Calendar, follow the instructions here. Once you have your Capsule tasks in Google Calendar, follow the steps below:
- Click the arrow next to the calendar name and select Notifications
- At the top, click the link to Add a notification
- Select how you would like the be reminded (email for example) and choose how long before each event you want to be reminded
- Click Save and you’re done.
