Need the latest on a lead before you email them? Ask Claude. Just met someone new? Tell Claude to add them. Our connector for Capsule CRM lets you look things up and update your CRM in the same chat, with answers pulled from your live data.
With Capsule CRM's connector for Claude, you can ask about your real customer data and update it in the same conversation. Try asking how many contacts aren't qualified yet, then tell Claude to create a follow-up task for each one.
Claude can create Contacts, Opportunities, Projects and Tasks, log notes and update Custom Field values without you leaving the chat. You also decide whether it checks with you before making changes.
What does the Claude connector for Capsule CRM allow you to do?
- Ask questions in plain language: You can leave the erudite language to impressing the in-laws. Simply ask what you want to find or what you want to achieve, the same way you’d chat with any other colleague. Claude understands what to look for and where to find it.
- Search across all your records: Need to find out how many warm leads haven’t been contacted for two weeks? Or how many ‘Gold tier’ customers are leaving lower than average NPS scores? Claude explores your records to find data quickly so you can take action swiftly.
- Draft follow-ups grounded in real context: Now you’ve got your answers, step straight into output. Use the context Claude found to draft follow-ups that sound like you, and remember the nichest of details so you can keep leads warm and moving through the pipeline.
- Create tasks from Claude: Ask Claude to create a Task, and it’s teed up for you next time you open your CRM.
What are the benefits of Capsule CRM’s connection with Claude?
What makes this new Claude connection so good?
- Skip the digging: Search across contacts, organizations, opportunities, and projects at once, without needing to know exactly where something's stored. Leave the archaeology to Indiana Jones.
- Draft with real context: Get help writing a follow-up email or structure your next meeting, referencing an actual call, email, or deal.
- Act on what you find: Ask Claude to create a task off the back of an answer. Claude picks up the tedious tasks, so you won’t lose focus switching tabs. It’s likely juggling with only the one ball.
- No extra automation platform to manage: The direct connection means you can set it up once and forget about it. You won’t need to worry about configuring steps and triggers - it’s just ready to help when you need it.

Frequently Asked Questions
It's a connection that links Claude to your Capsule CRM data, so you can ask questions about your contacts, pipeline, tasks, and projects in plain language and get answers pulled from your live account.
Unlike our previous MCP connection for Claude, the Claude connector has read-write access, meaning it doesn’t only search and analyze your CRM data, but can add to it, too. Enabling the connector allows you to do the following in Capsule CRM:
- Create Tasks
- Attach Custom Fields to Contacts, Organizations, Opportunities, and Projects. Note: while you can ask Claude to add or update an existing Custom Field to a record, the connector cannot create brand new Custom Fields in your CRM or remove them from records.
- Create a Contact
- Create an Opportunity
- Log an activity. Note: the Claude connector cannot currently attach uploads.
- Create a Project related to a Contact or Organization record.
We've deliberately restricted Claude to only create new records and attach or replace Custom Fields for now, to help you avoid accidentally overwriting your records.
To connect Capsule CRM with Claude, you’ll need to use Capsule’s Growth, Advanced, or Ultimate plan.
On Claude’s side, the connector is available on any plan, though your Claude usage limits may vary. On Claude’s Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner or Primary Owner needs to enable a connector for the organization before members can use it, and each person still has to authenticate individually.
The Claude connector links your Capsule account to your own Claude account, so data sharing and retention are governed by your Claude account settings, not Capsule CRM. You can check or change your model-improvement settings from Claude's Privacy settings.
If you no longer wish to use Claude with your Capsule CRM account, you can disconnect Claude at any time. Simply visit Claude’s settings and click ‘Connectors’. Locate and click into ‘Capsule CRM’, and click ‘Disconnect’.
Claude can access data across a few core areas of Capsule: contact management (contacts, organizations, and tags), sales (opportunities and your pipeline), and day-to-day activity like tasks and projects. What it can actually do with that data, read it, create something new, or update a value, depends on the specific ‘tool’ (or action) involved.
Visit our support guide for the full technical breakdown of every tool the Claude connector has access to.
No. Think of your Capsule CRM data as though it stays behind a fence: Claude can't access any of it until it's actually asked to, whether that's you typing a question or Claude working out it needs something to answer you properly.
You're also in control of exactly how that access works. You can set blanket access levels to your CRM for all of these actions, or customize that access for each action to ‘always allow’, ‘always ask first’, or ‘block entirely’.
These actions include things like:
- Calculating the value of your opportunities
- Pulling up a specific project board
- or listing lost reasons
You can find the full list of these actions (called ‘tools’) in our support guide. These settings are available from the Capsule CRM connector settings inside your Claude account.
