Introducing Comments, our latest update to make your Capsule experience more collaborative and facilitate efficiency. What may seem like simple, new, functionality offers tremendous value to your productivity.

If you’ve used social media, Comments functions similarly, except without the public-facing social feed.

What are Comments?

Comments is a new functionality to leave messages for your colleagues in Capsule. They can be added to any activity in a record or Opportunity. Your colleagues can respond to your comment in a thread, with the additional option to @mention other users to notify them.

How do Comments help my team?

While their functionality is straightforward, they offer great value and opportunity across your business. Comments facilitate collaboration and communication as well as skill development and internal handovers.

Here’s a handful of use cases:

  • Providing your team with feedback on their outreach or case-handling
  • Highlight actionable tasks when working in a team across different disciplines
  • Providing key details for smooth internal handovers.

What are the benefits of using Comments?

It’s not simply about leaving a comment for your colleague. Looking at the bigger picture, Comments can have considerable benefits for your organization. Benefits include:

  • Improving productivity: Keeping your conversations in the same place as your customer-related activities reduces context-switching, helping to maintain focus and get stuff done.
  • Keeping your data centralized: Gone are the days of tearing through paper notes, scrolling your inbox, or chasing details in your workplace messenger app. Find every note, comment, and ‘heads up’ in the relevant contact record or Opportunity.
  • Greater visibility: Quickly discover extra information like why the lead isn’t progressing as expected, changes to your customer relationship, or any good-to-know intel before you make contact.

How do I know if someone has tagged me?

The introduction of Comments includes the in-app notification center. Here, you’ll find notifications when you’re mentioned in a comment, or if a colleague replies to one of yours.

Many users work on the go, which is why we’ll also send you an email to let you know about any new Comments mentioning you or responding to yours
